The wooden Pier 7 offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of the famous Embarcadero market. People come here to take a leisurely stroll, enjoy serene ocean views and watch the ships pass by. Surprisingly, the pier is never crowded, and it is easy to find a seat on one of the benches with ornamented handrails. The place is one of the best spots to take pictures of the beautiful San Francisco’s skyline, and one can often spot professional photographers with enormous cameras right here. The Pier 7 is a bit of a blind spot for tourists, who mostly flock to Embarcadero or a Fisherman’s Warf. Don’t overlook this place though as you explore San Francisco, the Pier 7 is definitely one of its treasures.
